1. The Therapeutic Agreement

By engaging the services of Therapy with Nasreen Ali, you agree to these terms. A written therapeutic agreement will be provided and signed at the outset of therapy. These terms should be read alongside that agreement and the Privacy Policy.

2. Sessions

Sessions are 50 minutes in duration, held weekly or fortnightly by agreement. I ask that you arrive on time; late arrivals will not extend the session. Sessions are offered in-person or via secure video platform.

3. Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, or non-attendance without notice, will be charged at the full session fee.

4. Payment

Payment is due 24 hours prior to each session unless otherwise agreed. Invoices are provided upon request. Failure to pay may result in sessions being paused until outstanding balances are settled.

5. Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential. Please refer to the Safeguarding Policy for the limited circumstances in which confidentiality may be broken. Clinical work is discussed in anonymised form with a clinical supervisor bound by the same ethical obligations.

6. Contact Between Sessions

Therapy with Nasreen Ali is not available for crisis support between sessions. If you are in crisis, please refer to the Crisis Support page or call 999 / NHS 111.

7. Ending Therapy

Either party may choose to end therapy. An ending conversation will be offered wherever possible. Nasreen Ali reserves the right to end the therapeutic relationship if safety or ethical obligations require it, with appropriate signposting to other services.

8. Professional Standards

Therapy with Nasreen Ali is governed by the BACP Ethical Framework. Any concerns or complaints should be raised directly in the first instance. If unresolved, complaints may be escalated to the BACP at bacp.co.uk.
